Bronze, about 215-210 BC. AE 8.05 g. Veiled head of Demeter r., crowned with ears of corn. Rev. PETH/LINWN Zeus, nude, advancing l., head turned r., holding sceptre in his outstretched l. hand, thunderbolt in his raised r. hand. SNG Munich 1548. M. Caltabiano, La monetazione "annibalica" di Petelia, QT V (1976), 86, 1 (this specimen, illustr. on p. 87). Dark, olive patina with green spots. Oval flan.
